Dark Music

Throughout the years, the metal and dark underground music's were always portrayed as a culture that brings out negativities to youth all across the globe. I see it as a result to plain lack of knowledge, and a mere misguided believes from those who try to protect their youths from being seen as a problem to public eye. Parents of the 60's and 50's were more approached by the term of the word "medieval years" where they might hear it from somewhere in Europe, time of the witches, wizards and witchcrafts, Also, not to forget, Parents of the 80's and 90's were more approached by the beginning of Anton Levy's (did I spell his name right?) reign of the Satanist cult. The concept of this cult is what scares our religious folks through what they see as what Anton is portraying. The body art, the clothes, the music, and believes. I cant deny what Anton did was very arguable to MOST religions (I wont say EVERY because, now Satanism is Anton's legal religion. That's what he's fighting for during that time, the rights to believe in Satanism and yes, he gains some followers in worshiping Satan as religion). So, I guess, our beloved parents were just scared that this influenced their children's mind and faith in their religions. In order to prevent these mishaps, the parents did whatever is necessary to their children. Including, giving them fear in what Satanism is, bringing hate to the stuffs and try to strengthen their children's believes in god. It's all, for the good cause of mankind. Okay, good. Now, the chaos that happens during those days was passed on to every country and continent that existed in the globe. Which means, the story also got elaborated over and over and over again, by a whole lot of people with a whole lot of believes. We Malaysians were not excluded in this, coz we are one of the Islamic country that REALLY tries to be a better muslimin and muslimah as well. And Satanist? Is a big N.O. but if we look back to those periods of time, did we see the impact of this passing on behavior to ourselves now? Did, whatever we were thinking back then was actually the right thing to do? Coz to me, if we did the right thing, correctly, we wont see our youths today being pulled by the Satanism, or as we called it, world of lies and deceives. Every now and then we saw news bout youth being addicted to these kinds of culture and behavior. So maybe, (just maybe la... =j) we got so scared and put our thoughts bout finding out the real story in a closed sealed box of cemented brick mind. We got to stubborn to even think of how they would come up with such stories and where or how it actually began. That protective behavior that we gave is what made some youth rebelled with their thoughts for knowledge in this topic. The faith and believes that were still uneven in youth minds gave them the anxiety to try things out from the box that were, might be seen as, created for them. Freedom seems like a thing of "must have for all" to them. I guess they see it as unfairness when we keep talking bout being open-minded and being able to do what we want, yet they were stuck in a room, grounded for skipping schools.
