Out of all the groups I join and invited to on Facebook...
Only 4 has nothing to do with music.. I I remove myself from any group I'm not interested in ..
1 PHP group, 1 web link group and 2 anime.. I'm still in those group..
And almost every music group I'm in.. they're selling shit..
Now, I'm not against it at all. But seriously?
Its flooding too much now don't you think?
Its drowning the news about gigs around the area.. or some guy trying to learn how the stuff they bought works..
Or just a plain idea sharing posts.. 
I mean.. what gives bruh..?
Is this how we support our local music now?
Just by buying things?
I used to remember when we used to argue and mash each other on board rooms and chats just because we have a different settings on our amps and gears. And pointing facts that we deem right about how to hold a guitar properly... silly as it may sound, but that's what started us being better and having deeper interest on music in the first place.. we seek out more infos just to win the debate..

Just walk in to a group about bass guitars lead guitars, drums.. what do we see?

Like I said earlier... I'm not against that at all..
Without it, we may not even be able to start..
But.. come on guys.. how many of it do we need exactly?  If we still don't know what the whole stuff is about.. what the point of all that? Right?
Where is the posts that test a product that we're all selling, and how we could utilize what we already have to our advantage?  Where is a the post telling what a certain genre is an its history.. where is a post showing us how to make better music with cheap and simple devices?
Know what i mean? Not every person that has talents in music could gain half of the stuff we have on our room right now.. and I'm sure most of y'all understood that.. so what gives?
Out of all the groups and pages about music we've been apart of.. can't we figure out at least 1 simple way to turn that group about music and not an online shop? There's over thousands of members in a group we join in but it seems like we are the only one interested to learn or know about some stuff and every one else is only there selling things.. as if they're not interested in sharing what they know about our hobby and things that goes with it. Or even teach you how to use what they're selling to a beginner..
So those noobs just simply use what they got and make shitty sad music that destroys our industry from the inside, and all we do is complain about why they didn't learn more on things before they even bother to do music.. then we grump about how nobody is supporting or coming to our small underground gigs and small local band functions..  we justify on how we musician are not a violent society are only a small portion of less knowledgeable kids that are making our scene look bad..
Sound familiar?  How on earth are those kids gonna know anything if we don't teach them about it when they're reading what we write?
They were just like us when we first started.. they need someone to look up to for advises and tips. And the knowledge they have will impact their behavior in the scene.. that's a fact.. because that's what we are too.
We have the most powerful medium to use yet we wasted it around on showing how much we're not into the stuff anymore by selling our gears... we may give excuse on how we need the money..but to any new comer.. they would even see it as we're giving up on music as a whole..
Is that what we want from making that group?

My amp is giving feedbacks on high volume

I was playing my guitar last nite during a heavy rain, and my sound was completely swallowed by thunder and rain in my room..
(yes, i was crazy enough to play at the time)
Feeling unsatisfied for not being able to hear myself well on the speaker, i crank the volume up on my cheap amp only to get massive feedback sound due to being in a closed small room.. Its normal for that to happen for any amps i guess, but i do wonder how people setup their amps during live shows that is filled with loud crowds.. I've seen some live concert videos and albums where the band uses a full cabinet amp sets and played louder the noise im hearing in my room without these feedbacks..
It got me thinking to buy myself some noise gate effect so that i can beat the noise from outside and not getting feedbacks on the amp. I know that some bands uses it for getting their sound. And im aware that headphones will help to cut out the noise.. (p.s:- Im not much of a headphone guy.. I like my ears just the way they are. I do not wear any sort of accessories on my body except clothes and something to tie my hair)
Anyway, since i cant really buy the effectors, my brain started processing other method to get that sound.
I already know that my NUX FRONTLINE 30 is a pretty good amp in terms of sound with its built in effects but if i crank the volume to play for a jamm session, i'll get yelled at to turn it off.. (its a copy of a FENDER MUSTANG amp series i presume cause i saw one next to it when i bought it. Same function, size of speaker and power output. Except the fender is digital with extra prefixed settings, the nux is analog and slightly cheaper)
So i tried to find out what causes it. Is it my STAGG i300 pickups? Its working fine so far.. Is it in the gain settings too high?  I guess it is... Works well in low volume. And sounds awesome too.. But seriously? Playing on low volume on a 10 inch speaker? Cant we at lease have it halfway up? Cause that is such a waste of equiptment...
All i want was to eliminate that feedback when i turn up the knob. I looked around the net to find a solution without having to purchase a new gadget effects or a new amp but none suggested it. Though they do say that i should just use a headphone for high volume play.. (and burst my ears? Hell no)
So i sit back and wondered why it made a difference having a high volume on headphones.. I concluded that the noise from the phones didnt bounce back to the pickups..just like a mic on a normal speaker, so there will be no feedback sound.
I've tested the phone output to another speaker to see the results and it actually works.. But the second speaker needs to have some EQ on them atlease a bass and treble knobs. Otherwise, its just the same.
I tested that method over a few type speakers such as, a home theater speaker sets.. A cheap karaoke speaker peice (just one side), and my desktop pc speaker. And guess what? This method is actually a half set cabinet settings! Hah! So its legit to try out..
Now, i can crank up that volume to halfway up with high gain on the guitar amp. The output sound i got from the second speaker just wows me.. Except for the pc speakers.. Cause i think the power coming from the amp kills the output that the speaker can take.. In which the karaoke set that has an EQ built on it makes me able to get the tone that i want from my guitar. Without getting me a EQ effect. So note to self:- make sure the output can stand the input power capacity.
I figured that if i only play in my room, then this will do..
But if my buddies invite me for a jamm session in a studio nearby, i think i'll carry my Nux amp with me and test this method to a bigger amp sets..

Sounds kinda stupid bringing in your own amp to a place where you can rent them for a few hours.. I mean, guitars, i can understand.. But a cheap amplifier?
Yeah.. But dont get me wrong.. I felt that sometimes when you got too used to a certain setup, you lost your way using another. Get it? Its like when you've been playing a standard drum set all your years and you're good at it. But when you got to a gig that uses a full percussion set drums, i bet you only hit the things you know whats for.. And leave the rest hanging.. Right?

Another rambling..

I've been watching alot of anime lately on the net. Got nothing to do anyway. I got feddup with TV all these years for nothing actually interest me much except for the news, well, some of them.
Recently, as I turn on TV, I saw some anime that I have in my collection. Its kinda bores me in a way... I mean, I enjoyed knowing its on air, but I don't like the fact that its translated to Malay... Every joke that I laugh at on the show seems not funny anymore... But when I watched the original, I still laugh my ass off at the same joke... You guys get what I mean?
After awhile, I wrote somewhere on the net that its pointless for changing the original language of a show on TV.. Make it cartoons, anime or anything... I mean... Its not like Mr Bean, where people just see what happens and laugh... Comedy comes with puns and uses verbal mistakes and such as punchlines... So its very different for every language... And for Japanese anime, it comes with attitude and culture that only exist in Japan.. No one can translate a culture joke to a different language... And still find it funny... Not gonna work... I dunno... I can't explain this shit much... But anyone reading... Try translate the best jokes you have in your language into some other language... And see is if people can laugh at it just like you did with the original...
Anyway.. That was few month back.. Recently, they started re-showing "fairytale" anime on... Its one of the top charting anime on the net this year..(or is it last year?). And finally they didn't change it to Malay...like they did before... I was like, "hell yeah!! That's more like it...!!"
I mean, I'm not an otaku...or an anime freak, but I love originality... It has a good impact on the brain... Gets you to actually learn something along they way... Its fun, being an entertainment, and its educational...for those that watches it. Don't believe me? Ask around your friends that speaks Korean... I bet you over half of them started learning via music and dramas that shows up on TV... NOT from a teacher in class... So if you, parents out there, wants your kids to learn good English, get yourselves a few set of good old american sitcom videos... Watch them together with the entire family... When the kids sees you laughing all the time (and sometimes hear people on they show laughing, for sitcoms its natural) when they don't get what's going on in the screen, tell em, "its the power of understanding what you learn at school, and use it."

just woke up from a dream.. a stupid dream.. so i write it down before i forgot..
it was a bet..
i cant remember about how the bet started much but i was betting with some dudes in a marathon rally for some collage or school. the bet goes like if i could became first to Finish the race and keeping the arrows on the 2 small sticks grip on my fingers facing each other to the finish line. but i cant remember what the prize are.. or where this took place. since its a dream i assume that these places i saw was places that i have been before..
i know.. sound stupid. but hey its a dream..
anyway. thats not the end of that dream. at the day of that race.. we were separated into 4 groups and each group started at different time of the race. the dudes i was betting with is on the first group so they got the head start. i was either the 2nd or 3rd group to run.. so my stakes were damn high..
everything went normal for my group to start. but things got crazy a bit during a few corners of our run... we ran into some cows..not bull, cows.. they were at rage and blocking the road for us to run.. some were chasing people, stampeded on some cars parking... they were really pissed... 2 of those cows saw me and my groups heading towards a bridge for our last check points. and started raging at us... we try to dodge them by scattering about.. some were hidding in bushes and i was with some that hides at the back of a truck... we tought maybe we let those cows passes we can continue our race and my bet.. but it doesnt seems to work... i heard 1 of the cows saying.. " you trying to mess with me? i show you... blabla bla. bla.."
sorry it was all i could remember on what that cow said.. but i do remember when i heard that cow being so pissed and and calling out.."hey fellas.. they're over, get them!!" i told myself.. "The FUCK!! man!!!.. this isn't happening..!!" that incident got us off course of the race track.. i mean we were running all over the place.. those cows were fucking pissed for i have no idea what reason and now they're chasing us... at that we started running for our lives instead if the rally. it goes on that way till late afteroon. my thoughts were the race was done for. i mean we all got lost during the chaos. some even try swimming in the river but there were cows waiting at the other side of the bank.. i somehow manage to get on the bridge but i could take the turn to the check point cause there were at the other side of that bridge too.. we started scattering all over the city... i got to some back alley of some place. and got some help from a chick wearing a cat outfit... yeah.. kitty cat. i could swear that it was 1 of the josey and the pussycats in the archies cartoon kinda outfit.. anyway she help me out and got me passed those mad cows. and continue my race.. cant remeber how she help me anymore.. but she did.. so i continue my race and got to the finishing line that was closing like some gate of a school..i can see the dudes i was betting with behind the gate grinning at me. i leap at the nick of time right before it closes... as i was catching my breath the dudes came to me and i showed them the sticks in my hands.. the arrows were still facing each other... 1 of the guys said.." how'd you do it man..?"
all i could remember was jumping of joy... like i won the bet or something.. then i woke up..
 laughing my butts of... i mean.. talking cows!!? and josey and the pussycats?
hell yeah!! that was definitely a dream to remember..
i looked at the time it was 5.15 in the morning..
anyone that knows how to inter-prate a dream.. please tell me what was that all about.... please.. i'd love to know your opinion.. lol

just trying out the guitar rig 5 its very good.. im not much of a player buy this thing made me sound like an expert. cheap guitar sounded very exspensive. lol =j almost got flag in youtube cause i didn't know there was an instrumental version of the song by the artist. i thought since it was an old song, there isn't any remix for it anywhere in the net. i was wrong. it got flaged because the whole song and guitar matches the same thing. i mean, the guitar sounded exectly the same as the original song so they thought i violated the copyright for the song. but i made and play the whole music myself from the solos to the drum beats and since i didn't play that well.. (i kindsa messed up the rhythm at the start).. its considered back as a cover. lol

Memories of ashes

Would Any1 thought that this was once called a house. My home. I missed it alot, so I drop by. Too much memories of a family. A family that once were respected by whole, for the struggle they had gone through to survive. Now, lookin at whats left of this old, ruined shack, I ponder, where did it go wrong? Where is that respect that my ancestors deserves? Why is no1 doing nothin to protect this shack? This shack should had been the only proof that my late grandparents were once rich with love and happiness. I couldn't stop my tears falling, as I turn around to the bus stop. It hurts to leave it like this. Wrecked. Just as what the villagers did to the memories of my grandparents honor. Abandoned, uncared, and perhaps, forgotten.

new video in my playlist. just trying out the knob technique on the cheap guitar.. not bad at all.. most cheap guitars have less volume efficiencies to play this skill on a song.. this stagg is not bad at all. dont mind me, i'm not good enough to play this but it really is worth the money i bought it.

Im back again today.. i was replying to Nuri just now, and got this idea to find some info on the net...
about our MP3s..
You know how our music in the pc speakers or phone sounds like, right?
but i bet not everyone knows that most of the mp3 we're using are NOT even in the average level of its quality...
now, most musicians would agree to that.. including our mp3 up-loaders blog here... especially in mblog... cause i could tell, that 99% of us here can only upload our best mp3 at 2nd generation/grade quality... even at a 128kbps sound bit... and to top that, our maxis mblog has limited their media upload sizes to 2MB per uploads, so that would force users to use a converter.. making the mp3 quality level drops to 3Rd generation due to its loss during convertion...

urrmm... this will sound very confusing for the non-music integrated brains.. lol
ok.. lemme start again...

when we open up our web browsers on pc and stumble upon a broadcasting site playing our favorite songs... and some of us would actually download(or steal from the page)..mostly we hear them in good quality because its hasn't loss much from their "master" file(the original sound file).
i could bet over 100 of uploaders has an account in live365.com or yahoo music just to listen online for free...(then opens up a second tab or a p2p software to search for the songs to download... fact? lol)

Now what we are hearing on a free broadcasting sites are usually NOT the better sound quality as we thought...
most sites like these wouldn't give their best for free... there should be an option for a VIP or paid members if we wanted the most of the site.

Now, a 16 bit sound quality, is usually what we say as CD quality... is the top notch quality that we all could tell. although the size for the media for using a 16 bit data, is rather...like a bomb in your hard drive.. lol =j

well thats happens if we use the standard converter in our pc. which happens to be WMPlayer.. or RealPlayer. I know that some of us uses an additional converters too that could be downloaded free on the net.

ok.. with an additional converters, most users would be able to make a high quality sound for their media..(or at lease thats what they say.) by enlarging the bit rate for the media from the CDs.. after a few tries they would end up getting a HUGE amount of size for just 1 lousy song. heres why..
Bit Depth (better known as bit rates)refers to the number of bits you have to capture audio. The easiest way to envision this is as a series of levels, that audio energy can be sliced at any given moment in time. With 16 bit audio, there are 65,536 possible levels. With every bit of greater resolution, the number of levels double. By the time we get to 24 bit, we actually have 16,777,216 levels. Remember we are talking about a slice of audio frozen in a single moment of time.
Now lets add our friend Time into the picture. That's where we get into the Sample Rate.
The sample rate is the number of times your audio is measured (sampled) per second. So at the red book standard for CDs, the sample rate is 44.1 kHz or 44,100 slices every second. So what is the 96khz sample rate? You guessed it. It's 96,000 slices of audio sampled each second.

ok.. lets make another test... if we try playing a CD in our pc, did we ever noticed how it sounds out to the speakers? the clarity of a bass guitar, beat and cymbles of the drums are best to use for us to check. and remember.. that sound is a 16 bit audio data.
ok? now, take the same song... and converted to mp3 with an additional software you could find.. and flat them to, like say, a standard 128kbps at 44,1 sample rate. refresh your pc.. and play them.. see how it sounds now? no differences? try them at 44.8 sample rate... or 320kbps.... refresh the pc, play... sounds louder aint it?so does the size.. lol.

now, at certain point, we thought we could get make recordings the same way.. making some videos playing guitar.. but i'll tell ya this..
what ever we use to make that vid, the output sound is plain AAC quality.... yup. not more than a 4th grade mp3. there are ways to make the sound slightly better by using the pc... but we have to separate our recordings of the vid and sound for that... in a standard windows.. we can simply use the movie maker built-in the system... is a lil crappy but its simple to use...
