THE BUSINESS-

During our first year selling nasi lemak was terrible. My mom, doesn't know how to count money or changes. I took the liberty of doing all the minor accountings for her (including buying the stuffs from the markets, cause last time she did it kinda got me broke over 400 ringgit) she just do all the cooking. She doesn't like people helping her in the kitchen, so I stayed out of the way.(Really). So our nasi lemak stall was running, and things got pretty good from there. But after a few months, some neighbors got jealous with the business and started their own, close by.
(my mom was selling nasi lemak for 50cents, kinda cheap for everyone, don't you think?)

Me and my mom didn't mind them doing so, cause to us, as long as we got some cash to buy our ingredients, its still running. But alas, it did takes toll to our usual income. Although we could buy the ingredients, the profit were not enough to support two empty stomach in the house.
(which I had a very big one =j)
So I decided to get a job in KL again.

After a long discusion together, my mom agreed. i did warn her bout being careful on her health while I'm gone, but thats not what scares me. Its the people around her that does. With her being alone, the risks of being mug or house-broken is higher there. And she's not strong enough to fight back.
Believe me, we live in a very rough spot, and I don't have anymore savings to use in KL, Takes a long time to gain a few hundreds. So in order to ensure her safety there, before I left to KL, I played a little act to gain some fear from those who even think of messing around my mom and the stall. Lets just say I engraved a thought in my neighbors mind that 'My Mom Is An Angel And Her Son's A Devil'.
(lmao)
That actually got me and my mom into a fight, cause she didn't like the way I acted around her 'customers'
(I know, don't tell me, but I took the risk anyway.I got a hard time explaining to her what I was doing too)
But all that worked perfectly. I noticed how the neighbor stop bugging my mom for a chat while selling, or even making a 'take now pay later because they live next door' agreements that my mom was easily seduced. that give me confidence to leave her behind.

Its been 5 years now, and we're planning to build a house at the very place where we started the stall. =j
